Other than the fact that I'm saddled with the world's grossest cold, life IS pretty good these days. Against all odds kind of.
My car broke down right before my birthday trip to Miami 3 weeks ago, but I haven't even let it stress me out. MARTA to and from work, and good friends handle the rest. My library books are overdue, but at least I'm reading. I've been putting in good work with my music collection. Walked to the park last weekend for the Atlanta Jazz Festival. Hung out with really cool friends from Holland and NYC. Had an amazing Saturday night at a hole in the wall. Bought a pretty great bicycle (photos to come). The cat is good. I'll be seeing my family next weekend in Charleston. Work is demanding but we have a relaunch coming that is pretty much best described as fucking awesome. And..
(some of you may want to stop reading here..)
And I met A Boy. And I'm smitten. Stone cold smitten. Also known as nose wide open. It has been a bit since I last encountered smitten, and what's more (though it's probably way too early to say this) I can't remember the last time I so thoroughly trusted a paramour with my feelings.
The one snag? (Of course, there's a snag, have you ever know a statement like that to be uttered without some immediate or eventual snag?)
He's only in town for the summer. Actually, only in the country for the summer. Summer lovin', had me a blast..?

what an oh-so-appropriately timed Vox Hunt lol..
New design so perhaps I'll now update regularly? Probably not, but it's a vague possibility so we won't rule it out just yet. Plus, Jared and George both updated, so now I feel like a slacker. George wrote some really poignant piece about snowflakes and preserving memories, and all kinds of "deep"ness. Me? I've been immersed in my shallowness. My library books are woefully overdue, but my DVR is full. Discord.
I did, however, buy a most fabulous bike yesterday for a low, low price. Photos to come, and more words also. Truly.
In the meantime, go listen to this: Violet Stars Happy Hunting
Mindblowing.
What will be your famous last words?
