Summer after my freshman year of college, my mother lined up a job for me with the City of Palm Bay Parks & Rec Dept. I mistakenly thought I'd be either doing office work or some kind of camp counselor. WRONG.

From 7am to 330pm, I spent my days doing maintenance and the like on all of the city's parks and fields. Lawn mowing, water draining, tree-removal, weed wacking, you name it. Yes, believe it.

The one bright side? I was super strong at the end of the summer.

I have always been an incredible bookworm, at every family gathering relatives still make mention of my tendency to sit in a corner with a stack full of books and ignore everyone else in the room.

I can read anywhere, regardless of the noise factor - sporting events, daycares, parks, ANYWHERE.

I'm back to Vox, for QotD's at least.
